With the holidays approaching that means we are all short on time!   The last thing I want to be doing during this season is being stuck in the kitchen.   Not only are the holidays here, we have family parties, work parties, school parties and of course football season.   My husband this year is in to fantasy football.    Which means I often have a living room full of men screaming at the T.V. watching countless games.  When they are here I like to have some snacks around for them to enjoy.    Which makes these restaurant inspir

ed finger snacks perfect for any occasion!

Oven Roasted Potato Wedges

I remember growing up my mom sometimes let me get potato wedges from the meat counter at the grocery store!   They were my absolute favorite snack in the world.    The other day we were out to dinner and my son got some potato wedges in his kids meal.  It brought back so many memories of my child hood.

So I thought why not go home and try to make my own Oven Roasted Potato Wedges!!!

How to make the perfect hard boiled egg

With Easter only a few days away, we are all getting ready to dye our Easter eggs.   Which is the best part!!!    We are all wanting to know how to make the perfect hard boiled egg.  I will admit and so will my husband I literally suck at boiling an egg.  You wouldn’t think it would be that hard but I can never ever get it right.  I either don’t cook it long enough or the egg shell pulls off all the egg.

I have tried every tip from baking them in the oven, adding baking soda to the water, boil in 1 inch of water, steaming and the list goes on.    Even if these tips work for you they don’t necessarily work for me.    I have been trying my new method for quite some time now and it seems to be working for me now.

Cafe Zupas Cookbook Review…Plus 2 new recipes & Giveaway

We have all heard of Cafe Zupas!   If you haven’t then you are really missing out.    Me and the husband go there often together.   We have never had a bad experience and they are very reasonably priced.   Let’s not even get me started on there assortment of desserts they offer.    I was recently contacted to review a cookbook for Cafe Zupas.   They have four amazing women that put this cook book together and all of these recipes are not on the Cafe Zupas Menu.    A few big things I loved about this cookbook, is every recipe has a picture.  Which I love,  this is how I pick and choose which recipes I want to make.  I need to see the yumminess before I dig in!!  Also I love how it is spiral bound, which is great because I liked folding it over and save valuable counter space.

30 Minute Rolls

I would consider my self a huge fan of bread!    I could have it for every meal and be completely satisfied,  My back side may not be as thrilled about it, but we only live once.    When I came across this recipe for 30 minute rolls there were lots of blogs that had the same 30 minute roll recipe.  So meaning they all loved this recipe I knew I would to.   I’m still learning the ways on how to make the perfect the bread.  My 30 minute rolls pictures doesn’t even compare to the other ladies pictures but I was proud that I was actually able to make a “roll”.

The flavor was amazing, the aroma from them baking was amazing, they were super soft and moist.   I was expecting dry hockey pucks like my previous recipe I have tried.   Well this 30 Minute Roll recipe was a huge it and they were so easy to make.   I plan on making them a lot in the future.

Lather this rolls in butter, jam or even honey butter when they are fresh out of the oven.   The entire family will love these.  Plus the kiddos will have fun rolling the dough around.
