Korean Beef

I have seen these Korean Beef recipe on lots of my favorite blogs! So I was scrambling to come up with something for dinner I thought I would finally give this Korean Beef recipe a try.    Well im really glad I did!  I was amazed at how delicious and easy this recipe was to make!

My husband even approved that I could make this Korean Beef recipe again for him.   He often times hates it when I try new recipes, so it always makes me happy when he loves a recipe I needed to give a try.   The best part I had this recipe done and served in about 20 minutes…..that’s a winner in my book!


Korean Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 3 gloves garlic
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • green onion, chopped
  1. Cook hamburger, sesame oil and garlic together; when done drain fat. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, red pepper, and sprinkle salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes so sauce can simmer. Pour over steamed white rice and sprinkle green onion on top. Don't leave out the green onion!
I didn't have reduced sodium soy sauce so I did not use salt. I also halved my brown sugar I wanted more of a spice flavor then sweet

    • Of course! I think it would make about 4-6 adult servings with a pound of hamburger. I prefer more rice then beef. I think I made about 2 cups of rice for my family and it was the perfect amount with a little extra for leftovers.
