Halloween Table

Halloween Table

Hey everyone! So glad to be here and finally introduce myself. I’m Lindsay with Frenchie and I love anything and everything with a thought behind it. It doesn’t need to be homemade cause let’s face it, sometimes that just gets to be a bit stressful. I love taking things a little unexpected and making them into pretty killer things. Like this old cigar box that I just used some simple Hemp Oil on and my kids use it for school items now! I’m also really known for using my Cricut Explore since I got it a few months ago. Holy cow, awesomeness! They are going to be having a Black Friday sale that you won’t believe and I highly suggest you grab it!

So I used that Explore to make quite a few items for this extravagant Halloween tablescape. I love to just go crazy for Halloween and go glam. A lot of my items I got from the dollar store, Target and Oriental Trading. All it takes is a little imagination into what these items can become. All of the scrapbook paper I used is the line Frightful from My Minds Eye. The crow above is literally just cut in half and glued on cupcake wrappers and some of the dollar plastic fringe and framed. It cost me under $2 and it’s so cute. You can make a larger size and put a similar party hat on it like I did with the skeletons. So cute!

For the windows, it is just simple crepe paper. I got the black from the dollar store and the orange and polka dot from Target. The gauze cloth is from Oriental Trading. The crepe paper I ran through the sewing machine with my tension on 9 and my stitch on 5 so that I could get this ruffled effect. It didn’t work on the orange for some reason but I love how it just adds the right dimension. I just threw it up where it felt right. The pinwheels are also from Target and they just easy to fold up that way.

For the cups and plates, see my tutorial here for the paper cup coasters and I essentially did the same thing for the larger chargers on the plates. I added these fun ramekins I found in the dollar bin at Target. I found these cute skeletons at the Dollar Store and I made a cone hat from my Explore and added some $1 plastic raffia to it. That $1 raffia can go a long way! The straws are from Oriental Trading and have great stability.

I bought some gooey creatures from the dollar store and I also picked some up from Oriental Trading and placed them in these specimen jars again from the dollar spot from Target. The large creepy crawlers are from the dollar store too. The black votives are one of my favorites, they are from Oriental Trading and I added some Halloween washi tape from Scotch. The skeleton cookie jar is from Target and is frightfully good!

The treat bags are also from Oriental Trading, I love their selection and colors but obviously for this table I was striving for orange and black, I chose these ones. I made some labels using the new Print Then Cut feature from Cricut which you can also find my tutorial here, and I just stuck a few goodies inside and closed with the stickers. They’ve got some awesome sticker paper!
