Chicken Pillows

We have been making this recipe for the longest time.  My mom always use to make this recipe for us when we were kids.  Now im happy that I am able to make it for family and it has quickly became one of our family favorite meals to make.  I like this recipe because it is easy to throw together and I usually always have the ingredients on hand.
Im also a big fan of sauce!!  The more sauce I have the better.  So definitely make sure you have the sauce!
Plus if you are a small family like me, this recipe makes a lot.  So make all the “pillows” and place the extras in the freezer, just don’t bake them until you are ready to eat them.
Chicken Pillows
Prep time
Cook time
Total time
  • 2-3 chicken breasts, boiled and shredded
  • 2 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
Chicken Pillow Sauce
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp milk, optional depends on the thickness you want
  • Combine all ingredients together in a sauce pan until cheese is melted. Pour on top of chicken pillows
  1. Boil chicken and shred, add the cream cheese and pepper and stir until combined. Open up crescent rolls and lay out each triangle. Lightly push down on roll trying to flatten out. Add a spoonful of chicken to the thickest part of roll. Fold up corners and roll down to the tip. Try to cover all the chicken with roll. Place roll in bread crumbs until covered. Bake at 350 for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. The best part of this meal is the sauce!! So make sure you don't forget about it.

  30. Hi! This looks delish! I’m just wondering how much shredded cheese to add? It says 1/2 but I didn’t know if that meant cup or block? Sorry, sometimes I’m a little dense when it comes to cooking terms! Thanks!

  36. What a great recipe. I had 2 chicken breasts left over from a crock pot recipe and used them for this. I can’t wait to try with left over ham, turkey. pork and beef roast. I am especially looking forward to using this with left over beef roast….I think it will taste sensational. I was out of cream of chicken soup and used cream of mushroom instead…still delicious. Thanks for a great recipe. These will be fabulous during the holidays.
