Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

Do you have a special Valentine!  I have my husband and my 2 sweet kids.  I love making them a Valentine breakfast with a little something for them when they wake up.

We have a little tradition of making cookies with my kids.  Although most of the time I never make sugar cookies cause of the time it takes to make them.   But I love making this Sour Cream Sugar Cookie recipe I got my mom.   The flavors are amazing and they are so soft.

The Ultimate SNICKERS® Pudding Cookies

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.#BigGameTreats #CollectiveBias

I know we are all getting pumped up and excited about the Big Game coming in a few short weeks!   I know we are!  But since that is still in the future we have lots of homegating games happening now.   With my husband all into fantasy football we often times have a living room full of men watching all those games.    So I got to thinking.   Why do we always have to have salty snacks while watching our favorite teams.   So I packed up my husband and the kiddos and we headed Walmart to pick up some sweet and nutty snacks. I decided to get my favorite cookie dough recipe and turn it into The Ultimate SNICKERS® Pudding Cookies.

GUEST BLOGGER: Chocolate Peanut Butter Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Hello, everyone! This is Allison from Celebrating Sweets. I’m back to share another recipe with you while Brittany is busy welcoming her new baby.

Reese's Pieces Cookies

My family loves the combination of peanut butter and chocolate, and I’m always on the lookout for ways to enjoy those flavors together. These cookies are the perfect way to satisfy your chocolate and peanut butter cravings. I made a peanut butter and chocolate cookie and loaded it with chocolate chips and Reese’s Pieces candies. The cookies are chewy around the edges and soft in the centers, and they beg to be eaten while still warm with a cold glass of milk.

Reese's Pieces Cookies - 2

These cookies are great any time of year (I’d never turn them down!), but I especially like to make them during the month of October. Their colors go perfectly with Halloween and the Fall season. Grab some Reese’s Pieces and get baking. You will not be disappointed!

Reese's Pieces Cookies - 3

If you prefer peanut butter cups to Reese’s Pieces, these cookies would be just as delicious with peanut butter cups in them. Just replace the Reese’s Pieces with 1 1/2 cups chopped peanut butter cups.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Cook time
Total time
Soft, chocolate and peanut butter cookies loaded with chocolate chips and Reese's Pieces candies.
Serves: 2 dozen
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1½ cups Reese's Pieces candies, divided
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. 2. With a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat butter, peanut butter, and sugars for several minutes, until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat to combine, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. With your mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of Reese's Pieces and ½ cup chocolate chips.
  4. 4. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons (I used a 1½ tablespoon scoop) onto greased or lined cookies sheets. Leave a couple of inches in between for spreading. Press the remaining ½ cup of Reese's Pieces onto the tops of the dough; this will make the candies more visible. Bake for 9-10 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers still a little soft. The cookies will look slightly underdone, but they will continue cooking as they cool. Place the baking sheet on a cooling rack and cool for 5 minutes, then carefully transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

I love cookies and I mean any type of cookie and I will eat it!!  Seriously what is there not to love about cookies.  I love the satisfaction that comes from them.  The soft chewy center full of flavor and how every bite has a sweet taste.

Growing up I had two favorite cookies.  My first and still my #1 would have to be chocolate chip cookies and #2 would be my mom’s  Snickerdoodle Cookies.   I love these cookies!   I don’t make them a lot because  honestly I forget about them at times.  Well I recent had one of these cookies at work and I have been itching to make some of my own.   So that is what I did the past week.

Oh man, have I been missing out.   These Snickerdoodle cookies brought back so many memories of my child hood!

No Bake Granola Bars

I remember as a little girl coming home from school and looking in the pantry for snack.   Often times I would grab a Quaker Chewy Granola Bar.   The other day my little one was looking for a snack in the pantry and I wished we had some granola bars to munch on.   I got to searching online I found a few different recipes.  I liked what one had that other didn’t so I sort of made my own concoction.   So ladies and and gents I would like to introduce these No Bake Granola Bars.   They were a huge hit with me and my hubby and even little man liked his first tastes of granola bars.   These No Bake Granola Bars and exactly what they say.  They required no baking and I had them ready in 5 minutes and ready to eat in 15 minutes.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

My work always has these contests on who can make the best whatever.   This times the challenge was cookies.  Of course being me I forgot about this challenge and started looking around to find the perfect recipes.  I saw these Chocolate Crinkle Cookies and I thought they were going to take a long to make.  After I looked at the recipe, I thought is this really it.  Only 4 ingredients!!

Well I gave them a try.  The Cool Whip gives them this amazing fluffy and airy texture with a pow of chocolate yummyness.   The only bad part about these cookies.    It is very hard to hide the evidence that you were eating them without getting powdered sugar all over you.   Another great thing,  This recipe is made for any kind of cake mix you desire.  I’m thinking some re velvet cookies are in my future really soon.

These are the type of cookies that as you are taking pictures you have to keep sampling them.  Or that bite looks to big or that big looks to small.   Okay okay maybe I was just making an excuse to keep eating them.
