I know we are all getting pumped up and excited about the Big Game coming in a few short weeks!   I know we are!  But since that is still in the future we have lots of homegating games happening now.   With my husband all into fantasy football we often times have a living room full of men watching all those games.    So I got to thinking.   Why do we always have to have salty snacks while watching our favorite teams.   So I packed up my husband and the kiddos and we headed Walmart to pick up some sweet and nutty snacks. I decided to get my favorite cookie dough recipe and turn it into The Ultimate SNICKERS® Pudding Cookies.

GUEST BLOGGER: Chocolate Peanut Butter Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Hello, everyone! This is Allison from Celebrating Sweets. I’m back to share another recipe with you while Brittany is busy welcoming her new baby.

Reese's Pieces Cookies

My family loves the combination of peanut butter and chocolate, and I’m always on the lookout for ways to enjoy those flavors together. These cookies are the perfect way to satisfy your chocolate and peanut butter cravings. I made a peanut butter and chocolate cookie and loaded it with chocolate chips and Reese’s Pieces candies. The cookies are chewy around the edges and soft in the centers, and they beg to be eaten while still warm with a cold glass of milk.

Reese's Pieces Cookies - 2

These cookies are great any time of year (I’d never turn them down!), but I especially like to make them during the month of October. Their colors go perfectly with Halloween and the Fall season. Grab some Reese’s Pieces and get baking. You will not be disappointed!

Reese's Pieces Cookies - 3

If you prefer peanut butter cups to Reese’s Pieces, these cookies would be just as delicious with peanut butter cups in them. Just replace the Reese’s Pieces with 1 1/2 cups chopped peanut butter cups.

Soft, chocolate and peanut butter cookies loaded with chocolate chips and Reese's Pieces candies.
Serves: 2 dozen
Ingredients
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1½ cups Reese's Pieces candies, divided
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. 2. With a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat butter, peanut butter, and sugars for several minutes, until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat to combine, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. With your mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of Reese's Pieces and ½ cup chocolate chips.
  4. 4. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons (I used a 1½ tablespoon scoop) onto greased or lined cookies sheets. Leave a couple of inches in between for spreading. Press the remaining ½ cup of Reese's Pieces onto the tops of the dough; this will make the candies more visible. Bake for 9-10 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers still a little soft. The cookies will look slightly underdone, but they will continue cooking as they cool. Place the baking sheet on a cooling rack and cool for 5 minutes, then carefully transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

With NFL season here that means we have lots of get together’s with the friends on Sunday and Monday.  Or should I say my husband has lots of get together’s with his buddies.   Personally I don’t really watch a lot of football and im never cheering for a certain team but one thing is for sure, I love going to the parties for the snacks and socializing with friends and family.

One of my favorite all time snacks to make are Muddy Buddies but this time I wanted to take them to whole new level then my usual recipe.    I wanted everyone to be talking about these new Snickers Muddy Buddies at the snack table.

Frosted Zucchini Brownies

So I have even more fresh zucchini  that I need to get used up right away.  When I saw this recipe on All Recipes  I just knew that my over abundance of zucchini would be perfect for  this recipe.    These Frosted Zucchini Brownies were absolutely to die for!   They were full of chocolaty flavor, smothered in even more chocolaty frosting.  Matter of fact my husband liked them!  I didn’t even tell him it was packed full of zucchini until after he took his first bite.

S’more Brownies

One of the best thing about Summer is being able to go camping and all the fun that comes along with Summer.   One of my favorite parts of camping is making S’mores!  Unfortunately this year we will not be able to get out and go camping.  Between my husbands crazy and crappy work schedule and me being 30 weeks pregnant im not really in the mood to sleep on the hard floor and melt in the sun without air conditioning.

I still wanted it to feel like we are camping so during a family barbecue I decided to make these S’more Brownies!

Grasshopper Brownies

I love brownies, mint and add some chocolate on top and you have the best Grasshopper Brownies that everyone will enjoy.    I have a problem when it comes to make treats and desserts.   I think I have to eat it all to myself, which in some cases it does happen.   So I always try to make desserts when we have something planned or I take them to work to share with everyone.  So I wanted to make these Grasshopper Brownies when I knew we were headed out of town with family so I had to share them.

We have been making theses brownies since I was a little girl and I honestly can’t remember the last time I actually made them.  I have always been a huge fan of brownies.   Even at my wedding I requested the cater to have mint brownies!  Except this time I had to add the Andes Mints on top, because lets face it, they are amazing and make these brownies so much better with them on top.

No Bake Granola Bars

I remember as a little girl coming home from school and looking in the pantry for snack.   Often times I would grab a Quaker Chewy Granola Bar.   The other day my little one was looking for a snack in the pantry and I wished we had some granola bars to munch on.   I got to searching online I found a few different recipes.  I liked what one had that other didn’t so I sort of made my own concoction.   So ladies and and gents I would like to introduce these No Bake Granola Bars.   They were a huge hit with me and my hubby and even little man liked his first tastes of granola bars.   These No Bake Granola Bars and exactly what they say.  They required no baking and I had them ready in 5 minutes and ready to eat in 15 minutes.

Chocolate Andes Mint Pudding Cookies

I love anything that involves mint!  I’m not even sure where my love for mint came from because no one in my family really cares for it.   I love mint gum, Keebler Grasshopper cookies, mint peppermint patties,  I even love to get mint ice cream shakes.   Heck I even grow mint in my garden and add it to lemonade!  I absolutely love the stuff.

So when I came across this recipe for Chocolate Andes Mint Pudding Cookies I knew right away that I needed to make it.  I always have a bag of Andes mint baking chips in my freezer.   Don’t tell but sometimes I just eat them out of the bag no one is looking.  Then of course you all know my love for pudding cookies.  I have never made pudding cookies before with chocolate pudding so I was intrigued and knew this recipe would be perfect for me!

Mint Chocolate chip cookies

These cookies hit the spot!   The were full chocolaty yumminess with nice hint of mint.  I even added a few more mint chips right on top when I pulled them out of the oven, for an added boost of flavor!
